the manufacturer has reserved "722" for its most exclusive and prestiged model only they have older 722's too

The mercedes mclaren slr 722 was named so bacause when the first slr was made back in the 50s-60s the legandary Sterling Moss won the lemans race in it posting a time of exactly 7:22 Min:sec flat.

It's not the bhp and sterling moss didn't win le mans. It refers to the time he set off on the mille miglia - 07.22am
