A loud noise triggers shock waves that vibrate hard surfaces, and that includes your car. If the car shakes enough, your security system puts out an alert. maybe it's to sensitive for your conditions. If you don't like it, there's nothing you can do except turn off the car's anti-theft system.

Because it triggers the shock sensor, depending on the type of alarm you have, some are adjustable.

My 2000 Grand Prix is like that. A clap of thunder, a motorcycle driving by, etc. See if you can adjust the sensitivity through the radio or other controls. If you don't have the owner's manual visit the website just give me the damn manual. It's a free download. Hope that helps! Jim
