2006 RSX base model. High RPM, Slow shifting.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello. I have a 2006 RSX base model. Sometimes I use
the manual tiptronic. Anyways when I'm driving on the
highway and I'm going 40mph and I floor the accelerator
pedal the RPM would shoot up to redline and over rev
3times then drop down to 3500 where it would then shift. I
thought there was something wrong with then computer.
So I went into tiptronic mode and in second gear I
accelerated to 6000 and shifted to 3rd, the car stayed at
6000 for 2 second then shifted. Is there something wrong
with my car.
