Perhaps you are not getting fuel to the engine. Check out the fuel pump and filter. If you are getting fuel then check to see if you are getting spark.

very little information given here. No motor size, how long you had it, private party purchase. Just no info at all. Turn key on and listen for pumps to activate. I have 2 tanks and so I had ot have someone turn the key on while I listen for the pumps. you will hear a slight vibration when the pump turns on after key is turned. Once you realize they are on, it's all a matter of getting fuel to block to start and run. good luck

Have a 2002 F-150 that won’t start. Have fuel threw filter but not firing. Shot ether in air cleaner and it fires but not getting fuel to stay running. Any help would be great

for a vehicle that old, with these symptoms I would definitely consider looking into the fuel relay. they do age and almost always have the same schematic. I pull them out of junk yards as much as can.. relays, fuses, etc.Because relays don't take 12 volts to operate and neither does the fuel pump take 12 volts to operate. Look for Delphi/ Motorcraft brands.
