Can locks be programmed?

When the truck is placed in park, all the doors unlock. Can this be changed so the doors remain locked in park?

Only if that option is available in the vehicles menu selections. The owners manual will show you how to get there.

The logic behind this is that when a vehicle is put into park, people are going to exit, so the default setting is to unlock the doors, then after exiting, you may lock the doors. I don't know of any vehicles that have the setting you want in their menus, but do the drill-down and find out. Otherwise, after you put the vehicle in Park, you can just press the lock button again.

G A, Thank you! I did ask dear husband & son to check the owners manual. I just downloaded the manual and will check it out. Thanks so much!
My truck is a 2013 and I can change the lock/unlock settings, so hopefully you’re will do the same.
My answer has said POST SHORTLY for a day..... This isn't the CarGurus it was a few years ago. They never cared about this section, but now they REALLY don't care.
