Engine swap or rebuild?

Asked by Guru33KW1 Jul 19, 2020 at 01:38 PM about the 2005 Cadillac Escalade

Question type: General

What is the best engine to swap in? This is our baby hauler
so it doesn't need 1000 hp. Just reliability. Or to rebuild the
one I have? 260k miles on the current one.

You could rebuild the one you have or buy a crate engine just like the one you have. I would price one at your Cadillac dealer before proceeding. You may want to buy another car instead.
