2004 saturn ion transmission

In thought so too but when you replace the CVT for the 5 speed auto there is a bunch of problems. Only the ion 3 has the CVT, and the 3 has many options that the lower levels don't have, and you have to replace the computer and fuse box in the car for it to work. The key fob no longer works, cruise, premium stereo, auto lights, pdl no longer work. Luckily I bought a parts car and replaced motor and trans, computer etc, and also the whole dash, so I have to live with those small inconveniences, but no big deal, the parts car had half the mileage and it runs great and the trans works great too.
