Rear Hatch Rust

Asked by mcigna2002 May 07, 2010 at 03:49 PM about the 2006 Saturn VUE V6 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Anyone experiencing rust on their rear hatch?  I have three small open paint bubbles that that will eventually turn into a circular rust spot.  Is this a common problem with the VUE?

Also ythe paint is delaminating off both front door handles. Is this also a common issue with the VUE?

I have owned the car since new so there has been nothing done by the way of repainting.

no it's not a common problem it looks like a bad paint job. best thing is if its under warrenty bring it back, or your going to have to sand it down and re paint it

Nothing last for ever or is perfect. I would put some kind of plastic or vinyl film at the areas most prone to wear and tear, Could your rear hatch be rubbing after the bumper? Mine was and it needed to be adjusted.
