Asked by Jasonnatosha Aug 22, 2015 at 06:41 PM about the 1995 Ford Probe SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 ford probe 2.0 manual
transmission. The car has 86,650
original miles. It starts great but wil
not drive. I can dhift through all the
gears without anything happening. I
thought it was my clutch but i recently
found that a wire harness was melted.
I have enclosed a picture of what the
part looks like. I thought it was an O2
sensor but it is on the bottom of my
transmission. Can you help me

First thing to to check jason is,the clutch master cylinder to make sure it has fluid,if so there is a slave cylinder on the tranny that may need bleeding or replacing.

One more question. ( 1995 ford probe 2.0 manual transmission.) I traced the melted wire back under the car to the lower half of the transmission. It runs to a sensor screwed into the transmission. I unscrewed it took it out it has two identical green wires running out the top of it. Any ideas as to what it is?
