I really like the look of the roll bars on the Boxsters... can I leave the bars on my 1999 (911 cabriolet) in the "opened" position?

The bars are designed to deploy when the car reaches a certain point of tipping or in the case of a roll-over. You might be able to deploy them, but they might interfere with the soft or hard top.
