1991 sunbird has no spark at coil, fuel pump runs and injector pulses, replaced the coil and ignition module. jumped diag connector and code 42 comes up. was going to try the pick-up coil in distributor next. Any other ideas?

Thank you for your reply. I will check those 2 things, but would a kinked MAP hose or a faulty ECT cause the vehicle to have no spark at all, I would think the vehicle would still start with those 2 problems, or at the very least have spark from the coil.
