how much r 12 do I need to put in my 91 firebird? what is it suppose to be to start with?

all are different ,does it have a sight glass?? do you know how to read ac gauges...is there a problem now?/does the ac clutch kick on??? is it just a little warn??? do you just want to add/top it off??? if so add 1 can to the low side...
