Anytime an engine is suddenly blowing oil out a seal or gasket, check the PCV system. Clogged oil passages will also build pressure in the galleys and lead to gasket failure. To check the head gasket, read this: http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm/2.2L/blown-head-gasket-test-1
