Headlights malfunctioning

My 97 Firebird headlights are malfunctioning when
it is outside in 100 degree weather....popping up
and down aitomatically.  When the car has cooled
off in garage they work properly....What is going
on???

Sounds like you have a short somewhere. When things get hot they expand. Could be that a wire has a bare spot and it's just close enough to something metal that when it's hot it touches metal and activates the light motors. Check the pivot points for the headlight doors. That wiring moves and flexes every time the headlight doors open and close. HTH. -Jim
