smoke from dipstick

Question type: General

I have a 99 Firebird with low oil pressure and
smoke comes out of the dipstick when I check it.
All new gaskets were put in because they cracked
and antifreeze got into the oil. That's all fixed now
but very low oil pressure now and the smoke when
I check the oil.

I am guessing that when the antifreeze was in the oil. It stopped the bearing from being oiled and now you have damage to them. To much space between the bearing and the crank shaft causing low oil pressure. You will have to disassemble motor and inspect

Pull the oil pan, pull a main bearing and see if the surface facing the rod and rod surface is burned or not (dark or rubbed marred looking).
