When the car is idling while waiting at a trafficde light it gets engine hot an dthe oil pressure goes low. Wht doesthe gas run out very quickly????

Hi Ronda. You could have all kinds of issues here. The first step is to check that your coolant level is correct and that your oil level is correct. Once they are correct, see if that solves your problems. If is does have teh sources of the leaks determined and fixed. If that doesn't solve the problem you need to seek professional help immediately. As for fuel consumptions, assuming there are no leaks there (you would probably, but not always, smell gas around the car), you are probably looking at a poor running car using a lot of gas. get your coolant and oil issues resolved and then look into replacing filters and generally tunning up the car. You should probably get the car to a mechanic for a once over. Spending that money is hard but it could save you a lot bigger expense not too far down the road. Good luck!
