car wont start after i changed the thermostat

the car was over filled with oil. it was driven
about 20 miles before i discovered the
problem. i took it home and changed the oil.it
did not overheat at any point it has started fine
since but the temperature has been going up
quickly. so today i changed the thermostat and
seal and re filled it with coolant then it wouldnt
start anymore. also i could tell the thermostat
was the problem because the radiator hose
going to it was vacuuming closed when it was
running

How did you discover that you over filled the engine with oil? A thermostat has nothing to do with the engine starting so maybe you accidentally disconnected some wires. I do suspect that there may be other things going on. Maybe the engine has sustained some sort of damage.
