Car shut off while drivingdriving

My 2000 pontiac sunfire just off while driving, my
check engine light didn't come on it just started
putting and cut off. I tried to turn the car on several
times it would start and cut right off, do I took my
alternator to get tested and they told me that it
was reading fine that it was it

Have the fuel pressure checked at the Fuel rail. Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down
