2000 pontiac sunfire brake problems

When i hit the brakes it accelerates  
and tries to die even when its in park.
It also when u hold the brake down u
can hear like a air noise. Someone
please help me i need advice

sounds like the brake booster head,big round heavy metal canister behind the master cylinder. to test this, engine off, quiet, pull the check valve out of the front of the booster, you should hear the vacuum release, now carefully remove the plastic check valve from the hose (unless you have a cap that will seal the valve) seal the hose with a bolt, carefull hard brake pedal, test drive. if better you need a booster, the valve should hold vacuum too. if you get a salvage piece, they normally cut the hose, it should be holding vacuum.
