fuel gauge jumps around

2001 pontiac sunfire had new fule pump and sending unit put in in aug on 1/2/15 filled tank to half tank fuel gauge jumps around allover the place kinda moves with the gas sloshing around what could this be i cant afford  another 700 plus bill and i think its been to long to take back to shop and not be charged

Some circuits that use a variable resistor like the potentiometer type use a circuit to smooth out their reading, some manufacturers call it a anti-slosh module. It might be that on yours, the instruments could need the attention this time. you can call and describe your issue to the service advisor at your GM dealer for an idea of what causes it on a pontiac. and what they can do about it.
