I believe the ignition is out on my 2001 sunfire. I say this because it will turn over, but no dash lights and wont fire/start. Do you think its the ignition?

When you turn the ignition on, the dash lights don't turn on now, but the starter will turn over. Messing with the ignition I noticed the dash lights came on a few times and at that time, the car would start. All of this is while I was jiggling the ignition while turning it. Do you think its the ignition?

Sure sounds that way to me. Change the ignition switch and tumbler both.
