Spilled engine oil

Asked by Jimmy Nov 29, 2018 at 02:26 PM about the 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was putting some engine oil into my vehicle and a little bit of it was spilled on
the block and dripped down below, too. Not a lot. Hardly any of it.  The one
time I forget the funnel and that happens. Will I have any issues?

You might get a little smoke until the oil burns off. Nothing to worry about but wipe up what you can.
