2002 Pontic Aztec Running hot

My 02 Pontiac Aztek was running hot just
when idled and going down side streets .. I
could run my heater on full blast and that
helped it for a little bit but now my heat isn't
even blowing cold... I put a brand new
thermostat in it then the next day took it out
and it was locked up the thermostat was cut
and put back in but it still didn't fix the
problem... the lines have been flushed out
three times and yes there is water in it can
anybody help me to tell me what the
problem is and about how much is it going
to cost me

    Just replaced the fuel pump harness and plug under the seat. Car runs good as long as it's above half a tank. Below half it has low power and runs funny. Fill it up runs great.
