If the doors won't unlock with the key FOB and the engine does absolutely NOTHING when you try starting, then your battery is dead. If the engine cranks ONCE then its most likely your starter and if you tap on the start3r with something metal it may get it started once more so you can at least drive it to mechanic. If the car cranks repeatedly but will not turn over and run then you most likely have a fuel issue like a bad fuel pump. Bad starter and a bad fuel pump are highly unlikely problems with the Vibe so I'm going to assume it's your battery. What state do you live in? Heat is a batteries worst enemy. If you live in a climate like me (Michigan) then typical battery like is 4 or 5 years. If you live somewhere with extreme heat like vegas or southern florida then batteries usually last 2 to 4 years. Some battery manufacturers aren't good quality too. If you buy an optima yellow top battery you can expect a longer life than if you bought a low quality WalMart battery. Hope that helps!

I bought a new car battery AND FOB battery just 2 and a half months ago, and I still have this problem where the doors wont unlock and the car doesn't make ANY sound when i turn the key in the ignition
