Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I  have been having to add about 1 qt. of oil per 3000 miles, whats going on with my engine?  Only got 55k mileage on it, I usually drive in the 65-70 mph range 90% of the time on the hwy. Useing 5-30w oil, change out around 5,000 miles.
