Ok so this car. Grr... I had the fuel lines replaced this past
weekend and a fuel filter replaced. I drove the car yesterday just
fine. It died on my way to work this am. It acted as though it was
out of gas. The needle on the dashboard says empty but my
mechanic that did the work this weekend said the tank was full.
I've put so much money and work into this car. Does anyone know
what could be wrong now?

Sounds to me that the work done needs to be check for kinked hoses or lines. Good luck :-)
I'm still having trouble with this Damn car. I was told that the fuel vent in the gas tank was replaced by a bolt??? Is that a real thing? Everything else with the car seems to be okay I just can't get any gas in the tank and it's empty. Thank you in advance for any information.

Having a bolt in the fuel vent would not be an issue, and I don't know any reason anyone would do that unless they had a bad or short hose.Did they have to bring the tank down to make the first repair?
Yes. He had to take the tank down to repair the leak
I say leave the fuel gauge problem alone and just fill the tank & approximate your miles! That’s what I’ve been doing. I got my 2003 Aztek for a great price (1600) with 181k miles & that’s the only problem. I was gonna see about trying to replace the fuel pump fuse?! - or ?? but nah! I’m just gonna leave it & deal with it! It seems like y’all have had more problems or wasted lots of money on bad repair men! No pun intended. Thanks for the info!
