Leaking

Asked by ThriftTime Mar 04, 2019 at 11:29 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Vibe Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My stepson (20) got a tad bit annoyed
one day after I left him sitting in the
car telling him I was going into the
thrift store and wouldn’t be to long ,
left him the keys , and told him
if/when he came in to lock it up, well
let’s just say almost 2 hrs later he
came into the store looking for me ,
long story short later when I got
home I realized I couldn’t close my
sunroof. He claimed a bee was in the
car and he tried hitting it and it the
sunroof instead.   It took awhile
before it could be unjammed and
closed , and I figured that would be
the end of the soaked seats and
floorboards. But to my dismay it
seems to be leaking through the top
of the front and back doors. Anybody
know what the Fix could be, as I am
at a loss , and my floorboards are
getting moldy  Thank u

Check the drain lines for the sunroof. At least one if not 2 run from the tray around the sunroof to the ground under your car to let rainwater drain out. Look for the tube opening and pour some water down it. You should see the water exit from the bottom of the car. The tube(s) are usually in the front corners and you can see them when you open the roof.
