LED bulbs for headlights

Asked by Guru2QS5Y Feb 29, 2020 at 11:36 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drive a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire but  I cannot see the road at night with Low
Beams. .  I lowered the Lights so I can drive with the High  beams on.  It's
better but my question is, can I install LED bulbs in this pontiac.  I bought  a set
of LED bulbs but the mechanic said they wont' fit.  Is that true.  Is there no way
that I can install LED's? Thanks

You should have 400 watt neon arc signal lights like they had in the old movies , so when you're driving everyone is partially blinded by your lights . Because you don't really belong on the road do you ?

Thanks for replying but my question was do LED light fit in the headlight of my pontiac or not. Also every second on coming vehicle has those halogen lights aimed at the sky and right into my eyes so I'm blinded most of the time at night. Should not the government demand that headlight be aimed down at the road?

I would readjust the headlight assemblies properly. Then install a brighter halogen bulb like GE silver stars and polish the headlight lenses so they are not yellow, maybe even replace them. You can then look into installing LED's to help, but do some research as to which ones are best for your application.
