A friend replaced the wheel bearings, rotar,

For one we or you do not know exactly what they done and two you always do the same to both front side not just one side like they did or you had done, may be the other side making the noise or both sides were making noises or the duffis did not know what he was doing cause if he did he would of said no its either both sides or neither, I would of been upfront with you and told you so. You can get by with a caliper on one side but not a wheel bearing/axle/rotor/brake shoes/pads just on one side. You did not mention the brake pads for that side, so either way you should of had new pads put on after changing those parts and also did the same for the other side too.
