1998 Oldsmobile Regency will not start

Car had been working fine with no issues. Came home from work and car had been off for about an hour or two, went to go back into town and car would not start at all. It didn't make a clicking sound nor did it try to turn over. All the normal lights came on and worked just fine. Went ahead and replaced battery since we didn't know how old the battery was (we bought the car about a year ago). Put new battery in and still will not start.

Really need to know if it will be a simple and not so expensive fix or if we need to cut our losses and get rid of it.
