98 Oldsmobile bravada

I was driving 60 mph
yesterday and then the truck
started acting real sluggish
and wanted to over heat and
didn't wanna shift anyone
have a clue what might be
going on pls help

It's 30 years old, with who knows how many miles on it. When's the last time you gave it a good tune up? Or serviced it? Plugs, plug wires, cap/rotor, clean throttle body, filters, sensors, check PCV, EGR, vaccum leaks, exhaust leaks, check timing, fuel pressure, go through entire cooling system with emphasis on water pump operation, check shift solenoids and/or modulator. Do all that then see how she drives.

Like KenF suggested, there is probably more than one thing going on here. Scan for problem codes. That would be a good place to start.
