what engines will interchange with 1996 explorer 5.0

my explorer threw a rod i need to do an engine swap ..i would like to know the make
model and year of every vehicle that will interchange with my 96 explorer V8 5.0

A 5.0 from a close will year will probably work without any PCM problems. There was a 5.0 and 4.0 (v6) engine offered that year. They had different transmissions if I am not mistaken.
