what goes in the dash just below the headlight switch?

Just bought the car. Looks like something that flips open goes there.

Your referring to the plastic cigarette ashtray. It's on the left hand side next to the door under the headlight / fog light switch. And no it doesn't not have a light.

it aint an ash tray its a coin holder or a small storage unit, its all plastic inside, how can it be an ash tray? anyway mine fell off too, it aint a big deal i mounted a couple brackets for a programmer and xm radio there so its fine for that
