nissan sentra won't start
and here is the problem, (sound affects) my 1990 nissan sentra 4 door
ever run for a couple of minutes, but it now will not start at all and i'm half
puzzled and half not, i got it to start by limiting the fuel inlet with a valve and
it started but would not idle. after a minute or so and then died, and now
a thing, just cranks and spits fuel, ok now less blah blah blah, car don't start
and spits gas in quantity out of the TBI/intake any ideas other then the
timing chain? HINT chevy/ford guy HINT not a nissan specialist any
information is helpful so thanks in advance -RTBBilly
maybe the injectors stuck open ,un plug it and squirt gas in from a plastic bottle let us know what happens ,I'd tell you to check for spark but if the fuel is spitting out of the intake you might start a fire .
so it was in fact the timing, and i found this out by using a "break it worse" strategy, and then discovered that the right hand side timing guide was destroyed by the chain and caused it to jump one tooth forwards, i have turned it back and now my car runs, (not suggested for all people to try), I thank you all for your help. (smile) talk to you when i have my account back -RTBBilly
this knowledge was obtained by me dismantling a nissan motor, it does not work anymore but it did give me the knowledge i needed to fix my other one (R.I.P 2.4l 2400 i4 nissan engine) thanks once more -RTBBilly
