I have a 1990 nissan d21. It runs great until I'm om a steady drive for about 9 miles then it turns off pops then turns back on. Turn the truck off for 1 min then its fine for another 9 miles.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tps checks fine as does the maf sensor
besides the fact that it has a half volt drop
when running on the ground. Check engine
light is not on but who knows if it works. I
was thinking control module or coil maybe.
What do you guys think? It has a new fuel
pump and filter that I put in and yes I just
bought the truck.

Sounds like a distributor cap problem, pull it and check for cracks also it may be time for a tune up

Changed the cap and rotor. Still does it not as offter though so I guess the coil is next
