I have a 92 nissan stanza xe a/t, trans is slipping and loss of power going up hills. What would prob be and how do i fix it?

Ive been told a lot of things and not sure where to start. I fixed pwr
steering leak, chg spark plugs dist. Cap n rotor. I was told theres water in
my transmission. When i flush it what will i need?

Ok so i guess i dont have water in my trans. The fluid looks dark brown n ssmells burnt. What would be the cause of pwr loss going up hill?
