What's the issue?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced blower resistor and blower motor. Fan stays on high on all settings
except for off. Everything I've looked up said it's the resistor. I am getting
another one tomorrow in case the one I originally got was faulty. Anything else  
I should look for?

UPDATE: Bought the new resistor no change. Still doesn't turn off. Took apart the dash to see about the actual climate control unit. The connection seems to be loose behind the fan speed dial. When I push on it the fan shuts off (when in off position). Black wires is exposed. Easy fix? I can't find anything about it.
