1988-1995 Nissan Pathfinders... Opinions?

I am thinking of picking up a Pathfinder 88-95. Can I get some opinions from some owners/ or if you have had some experience with them, I have already checked Edmunds and car-survey.com. I just want to hear right from the people directly and recent people. I have own many cars and have a ton of "car knowledge", but Nissan is a weakness; I don’t have much experience with the brand. I want to get a 88-95 because of the toll highway up here, It is electronic and takes a pic of the rear plate, but on this model (88-95) the cams can't see the plates, so it is a free ride, I know it sounds funny, but I am NOT breaking any laws nor am I doing anything wrong, I just want to save some time and money. So if you have any knowledge/experience with the 1988-1995 Nissan Pathfinder please leave a note. Thanks in advance for your time. Cheers

Is it just the 95's that have the rusted frame issue? I cant seem to find anything on the frame issue before 95. Again any help will be great.

i have a 1992 model and the only problem i had with it is that the trnasmission had a radiator and it was clogged up pretty bad and it blew up the transmission but after they found the fix it has been running like new.

I have a 1992 nissan pathfinder 2wd,,had since was new,,,its never ben in a shop but for timing belt,,,when it was time,,,,has 250.000,,miles on it ,,still runs like new,,rides like new,,,,all mechanic work that has ever ben done has ben by me,,great cars,,,highly recomend,,,\ the best are 1992 -1994,,,but they still use same engine today
