Do you have take the transmission out to get to the
clutch of a 1995 nissan pickup

Yep no way getting around that unless you plan on pulling the engine.

Wasn't it nice when cars used to have removable dust shields on the bottom of the bell housing. Without that, the bell housing has to be unbolted from the engine block and slid back.
