Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Airbag light is on (red) on the dash board. Took to local dealer (Boulder, CO). Airbag controller needs replacing. No more parts are available through Nissan. Website at http://www.airbagsystems.com/computer_quote.html offers to repair existing controller. Is this a viable solution?

you need to go to various junkyards and hunt for the part. You could also search for a website that specializes in Nissan parts.

I would get the repair done. These are great ways to basically get a new part with a warranty that is already programmed to your specific vehicle.
