Not turning over

Battery is charged. I hear a loud click but the engine will not turnover. Starter is
new.

Perhaps the starter needs shimming. Check with the auto parts store that sold you the starter.

I have a 1978 Bronco that had the same issue. My fix was to replace the Neutral Safety Switch.
