rear brakes, 96 Bronco
I changed my front brakes, they were pretty bad,, now I have brake fluid coming out of the rear differential vent line, its hooked to the brake splitter on the rear axel,, I know its brake fluid, had the wife press the peddle and watched it, the vent line goes over the gas tank. don't know why or how this could happen,, any ideas, change the rear brake splitter ?
Yes replace it or make one up. Was the brake fluid coming out of the vent hose? If it was there is also a split in the vent tube nipple and most likely got brake fluid in the differential housing also, if that is the case then the grease will have too be drained, the housing thoroughly cleaned out and refilled with new differential grease.
