1999 nissan sentra A/C

A/c blows very cold always worked just fine no problems    yesterday for no reason stoped working  today checked all fuses compressor is turning  clutch is free but it is not engaging  both fans come on as they should  while car was running with a/c on changed a fuse in the under hood fuse box and it blew  ( I know you shouldn't change fuses with circuits engaged   )  any clue ?
