Nissan Quest 1999, hesitates to start every morning, I have changed the Ignition key, changed starter 2 years ago. What then causes the hesitation. The engine light stays on.

mechanic says the starter is fine, still it hesitates to start every morning.
Timing belt was changed 2015.

Since the engine light is on, there are fault codes stored in the car system. A simple OBDii code scanner can pull the codes to help/give you clues in what to repair. Drive over to your nearest auto parts store, ask them to scan the van and post the 4 digit codes back here for help. An example will be P0300. Be wary though with what pops up and what the tech would suggest. For example, an O2 sensor code doesn't always mean that the sensor is faulty, but another system is causing it to detect an issue. That's why I ask you post them back here.
