97 fordthurder bird

Everytime I press the gas...it will go forward but
very slow with a loud air sound?HELP!!!!

You have a plugged up catalytic converter. The cat needs to be changed out. It is in the exhaust system.

Yes, if you get the vehicle warmed up to operating temperature, drive around the block, park in a dark area with the engine still running look at the catalytic converter in the exhaust. It should be glowing orange.
