There was a question recently concerning a Nissan frontier... does a bad catalytic cause vibration when maintaining a speed?

Asked by hardyboy_68 Apr 26, 2013 at 01:27 AM about the 2000 Nissan Frontier 2 Dr XE Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier, 4
cylinder, it has no problem
starting, but there's a hesitation
when accelerating, then it clears
up, but then a vibration begins to
take place when I maintain a
certain speed! :-(

It sounds like a transmission issue especially since it happens during acceleration. You can try pouring transmission fix in it to see if it helps the problem and if it does then you know a new transmission or car is in your near future.

Hook a scanner up and see what your coolant temp sensor is at if it's not 90 to 95 it will cause vibration and give codes for misfires
