2000 Nissan Altima smoking

Asked by Sasquachassasin Dec 07, 2019 at 05:38 PM about the 2000 Nissan Altima GXE

Question type: General

2000 Nissan Altima 2.4l  4 cyl.  I installed a new
distributor and about 2 weeks later I was going
down the hwy around 70mph it spit and sputtered
then a huge back fire. Found the rotor inside the
distributor was loose. The set screw came out. I
fixed it. But now it smokes real bad. Any ideas?
Thanks Joe

Need findout if it's light grey meaning oil burning or if it's dark color and strong smell meaning fuel mixture issue
