Disable factory alarm on 2001 Nissan Sentra

I have a 2001 Nissan Sentra and suddenly it will not start. I think it is the factory alarm. Please help me figure out how to disarm it and rid the problems associated with this thing. It goes off randomly and makes this car not want to start. Thank you

Try this. Disconnect the battery for about a half hour. With the KEY OUT of the ignition. It may or not work.

I am not having starting problems, but I am having car alarm problems on my 2001 Nissan Sentra 2.0. To wit: Key fob has a fresh battery. Depressing "arm" or "disarm" does nothing but whenever I open the door, the car alarm disturbs everyone within earshot in my neighborhood so obviously the key fob is not communicating with the car alarm. It's so bad, I've turned off the dome light and left the car door ajar so that I can get in without the alarm going off. I have to drive out of the neighborhood and get to the highway before I can close my door, in which case the alarm goes off. All I would like to know is which fuse the car alarm is on so I can simply remove it. There are 3 fuse boxes. One is under the dash and the other two are under the hood; one on the left, the other on the right. None of the fuse box labels say car alarm. Can anyone tell me which fuse it is without me taking my car out in the country somewhere and pull one fuse at a time?
