01 Sentra over heating.

Asked by Anthony Oct 28, 2017 at 07:30 PM about the 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Nissan Sentra. The car is
over heating after 10 min of driving and
has no heat inside the car. We’ve replaced
the water pump and thermostat. Flushed
the coolant system and burped it. I’ve
bipassed the heater core and it still over
heats. Any ideas!?

You might need to do a combustion leak test. you can get the kit and do it yourself, (probably around 50 bucks) or take it to a shop that does emissions work and they can hook up a sniffer to your exhaust. if the test is positive , then you likely have a bad head gasket.

I have a Nissan Sentra 2003 and I'm trying to find out why is it that hot air blows into my car when I turn on the car and the heater won't turn off where you turn on and off for cool cold and hot tell me what will be that specific problem
