Question type: Car Customization

I want to give my truck more horse power and torque with out spending a ton of money on it. Please be discriptive as I am learning about working on vehicles. I'm not completely vehicle savy. Also can you supercharge my truck if it didn't come with it. If so where can I find out how exactly?

what do you consider "a ton of money"? a real CAI paired with a FULL exhaust and tune will wake it up. start there. and dont cheap out on a K&N and catback with some flash tune....you will just be wasting a bunch of money.

I mean into the thousands. What is considered a real CAI? and I'm putting in a flowmaster super 50 delta flow. I don't know exactly what I'm doing. I know I have 4 catalyic converters and are you talking about replacing them also or? The exhaust is starting to rust bad and the heat shields are falling off the converters.

If I do put in a CAI what is a really good brand and what kind of exhaust are you talking about?

A real cai draws in air that isn't from under the hood. Most "cai" systems draw user good air which in realit makes it a hot air intake. It retards timing with higher iats. You actually lose hp when heat soaked on a hot day. You need to do the research for a good system. Over the radiator systems are great if there is one. And when I say a full system I mean headers mids (high flow cats) and catback. Just a catback will do nothing for power gain. It's just noise.

Weapon r cold air intakes are by far the best but your gonna be in the 300-500 $ dollar range I have one on my 01 frontier 2.4l, but now is the exhaust I am thinking of going with a pace setter race header back exhaust then get the basic tune done

i Have a 2003 Nissan Frontier 2.4 and I’m looking for headers. Were can I find the correct match for my truck?? I been looking on some sites and they don’t have IT? I’m wondering if 2000 Nissan Frontier headers can still match my 2003 Nissan truck?
